We have just launched a suite of sites, 6 fully responsive sites to be precise, to support the MamaYe! campaign.
MamaYe is a campaign initiated by Evidence for Action, a multi-year programme which aims to improve maternal and newborn survival in sub-Saharan Africa, and we our team worked closely with the team at Advocacy International to deliver this fantastically worthy project.
The campaign uses digital and mobile phone technology alongside community involvement to engage the wider African public in taking action to improve the survival of mothers and babies.
Funded by the UK Department for International Development, it is lead by African experts in the six countries, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Malawi and Tanzania and supported by experts in academic and other institutions specialising in sexual and reproductive health.
MamaYe has a clear focus on survival and positive stories rather than the helplessness and resignation that can accompany death in pregnancy and childbirth in Africa, and it's been great to be involved to help shape this positive message.
