A recent annual study into brands on social media by social monitoring and tracking company Social Bakers showed some great results for Rimmel London. Not only did Rimmel rank at 67 of 100 of the top brands online beating the likes of Cadbury UK and John Lewis, we took great pride in seeing that they also topped the table of Cosmetics brands!
The report looked at the activity of 715 companies on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube between March and April 2013. Scores were calculated according to statistics including fan/follower growth, response rate, channel engagement rate and total mentions. The three sites carried varied weightings to accommodate their relative popularity; Facebook 45%, Twitter 40% and YouTube 15%.
Our recent work with Rimmel - running a series of hugely successful product launches with the primary focus being follower engagement and recruitment through social media channels - has seen them begin to reap the benefits from an engaged and committed community.
