About the Role

The Delivery Lead is tasked with ensuring the Project Management team effectively scopes and delivers projects on time and budget.

This person will work closely with the Delivery Director to ensure the smooth running of the Delivery team and high-quality output from the agency as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Line management of PM team members
  • Run staff appraisals for reportees
  • Run regular training sessions for Delivery team members
  • Provide support to the team throughout project lifecycle: - assisting during immersion, on estimates, project plans and dealing with and solving problems that arise
  • Assist the Delivery Director in recruiting new Delivery team members
  • Lead, train and motivate team members to achieve agency targets and agreed personal objectives
  • To mentor the other Project Managers and provide ad-hoc support in order to assist with the delivery of the work
  • Serve as a point of escalation for clients
  • Manage dependencies between projects / resource scheduling
  • Assist Delivery team members in managing project RAIDs
  • Champion post-project reviews
  • Working with the Delivery Director on long-term resource planning and identifying the need for freelance staff when appropriate


Strategic & Commercial

  • Ensure client briefs are properly interrogated and fleshed out
  • Scoping and specification of client requirements, ensuring consistently added value
  • Engage with clients to ensure a strong long-term partnership
  • Act as a champion for project delivery within the agency
  • Develop and regularly review reports to track planning, scheduling, issues, risks and overall status
  • Oversee the creation of new processes and tools as necessary to support the additional needs and requirements of a fast-growing business
  • Ensure the highest level of project management efficiency
  • Champion Catch’s Delivery methodology, both within the agency and with clients
  • Suggest and implement improvements to working practices to increase delivery efficiency
  • Identify business development opportunities and look to develop new business from current clients


Administration

  • Work with the Finance Manager to ensure that all invoicing is completed on a regular timely basis
  • Work with Delivery Director and Finance Manager to ensure revenue is accrued correctly
  • Responsibility for reviewing estimates, SoWs and project plans before client approval
  • Ensure each Synergist job, Confluence space and Jira project is effectively structured and maintained
  • Ensure project folders are correctly structured
  • Work with the Delivery team to ensure that all purchases and expenses are logged correctly in Synergist
  • Assist Project Managers in the initial setup of projects and approve project plan and RAID logs before they’re shared with the client
  • Standardise the documentation of projects and ensure that templates are kept up to date and consistently used by all team members
  • Ensure time is correctly logged in Synergist in a timely and accurate fashion


Communication

  • Serve as both agency and client advocate
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for clients
  • Inspire and support project teams throughout delivery
  • Manage multiple client stakeholders
  • Work closely with Product Managers to support client relationships and product development


Requirements

  • 4+ years digital agency experience
  • Track record of strong client and colleague relationships
  • Positive and confident approach when dealing with clients
  • Experience managing projects with open-source web development technologies
  • Experience planning, managing and delivering projects
  • Flexible approach to project delivery
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to learn about all aspects of digital project management
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Great organisational skills
  • UK based
