January Newbies: Welcome Isabelle, Jens and Lydia

We’re super excited to welcome a few new faces to Catch this month!

Isabelle Derbyshire in front of Brick Wall

Firstly we have Isabelle joining us as Office Manager. After working on offline marketing campaigns for retailers at our sister agency More2 for around seven years, it was time for a new challenge. Having just had a wonderful, but tiring, maternity leave, it was the perfect opportunity to join Catch to learn something new!

It's been great to work with such a lovely bunch of people at Catch so far to help make the office run smoothly. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone a little better and ensuring Catch continues to be a great place to work.

Isabelle, Office Manager

Lydia Wood on a Hike

Lydia has joined us as a Front End Developer after a career change in 2020. At Catch she’s looking forward to working with a great team on a wide variety of projects.

In her spare time, you’ll find Lydia huffing and puffing her way up the Lake District Fells or dreaming about thru-hikes whilst drinking hot chocolate.

Jens Janson Headshot

Also joining our Front End team after many years working with us as a freelancer is Jens, a former graphic designer and front-end developer with many years of freelancing experience.

He started making websites in the 90s in his native Sweden and later went on to study graphic design, typography and animation in London where he still lives.

These days he’s passionate about combining his experience by making interesting and accessible interactive work as a Senior Front End Developer.

Helping UK SMEs unlock the value of digital advertising

Today in collaboration with our client IAB UK, we've launched a tool to help UK SMEs unlock the value of digital advertising for their brand, products and services in order to drive more sales, raise awareness of their company and help them succeed.

In June 2020 IAB UK published a research piece "Powering Up". Drawing on evidence from nearly 1,200 UK SMEs, "Powering Up" explores how small businesses are using digital advertising, where they feel it excels and where more support is needed from the digital industry to help the market’s recovery in the wake of COVID-19.

Powering Up: Helping UK SMEs unlock the value of digital advertising

The tool was born out of one of the core pieces of feedback the research found being that SMEs need a tailored, interactive experience to help them discover why digital advertising is effective for reaching their customers and building brands.

The tool has two primary objectives:

  • Encourage SMEs who currently don’t invest in digital advertising to take their first steps
  • Empower SMEs who already spend on digital advertising to discover new channels and to use it more effectively

We continue to work with IAB UK on a rich roadmap of feature improvements for their website.
